  • All remote work must take place in the United States.  
  • To qualify for Remote Work, you must reside within a reasonable commute to the Client Site to provide urgent/ad-hoc support when required by the client within a 2-hour window.

JOB DESCRIPTION              As a Front-End Software Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications and user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new features and functionality. Your role will involve working closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and better understand user needs. You will also troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. This position offers the opportunity to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development. 

The majority of work is conducted remotely during normal business hours, and remote work must be conducted within the United States.  Approximately 10% of bi-weekly worktime must take place at the client’s facility on Fort Belvoir, VA, e.g., approximately 1 out of every 10 work days.

  • Job Duties           
 
  • Build and maintain web applications and user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new features and functionality.
  • Create clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.
  • Attend, participate in, and provide value-added to daily stand-up meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS  
  • Education            
  • REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or other relevant and acceptable field. (Unable to make exceptions for experience in-lieu-of degree for this position.)
  • Certification(s)   
  • DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification (Desired but Not Mandatory).
  • Experience          
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven and demonstratable experience consistent with what is identified in the Job Description, Job Duties, and Qualifications.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Angular: Expertise in JavaScript, particularly with Angular, is essential for building and maintaining web applications and user interfaces.
  • HTML and CSS Expertise: Strong skills in HTML and CSS, including familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Material Design, Bootstrap, or Foundation.
  • Experience with JavaScript Frameworks: Proven experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, Angular, Vue, or React, with a focus on Angular.
  • UI Development and Design: Experience in UI development, data analysis, and visualization, and applying best practices in software design.
  • Agile Development Methodologies: Comfort working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA, Git, Gitlab, and BitBucket, and three-week sprints.
  • Cloud Development: Experience in developing for cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • Writing Clean, Maintainable Code: Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify, debug, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Ability to work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs.
  • Performance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Independent and Team Work: Capability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members, lead tasks, and manage tasks effectively.
  • Experience with Development Tools: Familiarity with tools for version control (e.g., Git, BitBucket) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker: Some experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker) is beneficial.
  • Supporting Military Clients: Experience supporting and working with US military clients is an advantage.
  • Additional Desired Skills:
    • Experience with JavaScript visualization libraries such as Leaflet and D3.
    • Node/Express for developing APIs.
    • Familiarity with Keycloak for identity and access management.
    • Experience with database design.
