DevSecOps Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:      
We are looking for a skilled and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle and ensuring our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. 
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to automate, streamline, and enhance our systems. 
  • Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable infrastructure on both Azure and AWS cloud platforms, help develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring smooth and secure deployment of applications, use Terraform to define, build, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) across multiple environments, and manage/automate container orchestration using Kubernetes for efficient and secure deployments.
  • Implement/ automate configuration management using Ansible to ensure consistent and secure environments, integrate security best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, automating security processes to detect vulnerabilities early in the development cycle, and collaborate with development and operations teams to promote a DevSecOps culture, ensuring that security is an integral part of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations and monitor system performance, identify security risks, and implement appropriate countermeasures while continuously improving automation processes, reducing manual tasks and increasing the efficiency of infrastructure management.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Cloud Platforms: Expertise in both Azure and AWS, including their security services, networking, and cloud-native tools.
  • CI/CD Tools: Strong experience with Jenkins for automating build and deployment pipelines.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform for defining and managing infrastructure.
  • Containerization: In-depth experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Configuration Management: Skilled in Ansible for automating server provisioning and configuration.
  • Automation: Strong focus on automation, with the ability to script and automate complex tasks using tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Security: Understanding of security best practices, including securing infrastructure, automating security checks, and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with development, security, and operations teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
  • Education & Experience: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field, with 10 years' professional experience. Total of 20 years' experience may be accepted in lieu of Masters' Degree.
Nice to Have:
  • Relevant certifications in Azure, AWS, or security (e.g., AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer).
  • Experience with additional CI/CD and DevSecOps tools such as Jira, Slack, Bitbucket, GitHub, Docker, or others.
  • Prior V.A. experience.
