LOCATION: Herndon, VA
JOB DESCRIPTION: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Specifically seeking middle tier or back-end developers responsible for creating the business logic and services between the UI and the back end, and the functions and operations performed on the data (relational and unstructured). Work takes place in a SCI. Work must take place at the client's worksite in Herndon, VA.
- DoD TS/SCI w/CI Polygraph
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience consistent with the Job Description and Qualifications.
- Must Have experience with the following:
- Drafting prototypes in HTML or PowerPoint.
- Working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- PostSQL or PL/pgSQL
- Microsoft Services
- Coding, configuring, debugging, securing, integrating, and deploying .NET Framework apps.
- Desired, but not mandatory:
- Familiarity with AWS.
- CI/CD pipeline; automated code builds & testing, and deployments.
- Other UI framework may be an acceptable substitute.
- Spring Boot, Java
- Jenkins, Git tools
- OpenShift, Artifactory
- Junit testing
- Wildfly, Keycloak.
- PostgreSQL, PostSQL, PL/pgSQL, Kafka, Activiti
- STIG hardening.
- Automate testing (i.e., JMeter, Selenium, Robot Framework)
- Scrum Master experience or certification
- Leading tasks; leading small number of developers.
- Bachelor of Science in computer engineering or related major.
- 3 years total relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Desired but not mandatory; must obtain within one year:
- Active CompTIA Security+ or other IAT Level II certification (or higher)
