IT Systems Engineer Technical Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:          As IT Systems Engineer, working with Cloud technologies, you will lead and support the design, development, evaluation, enhancement, and modification activities for end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products.  You will create product-development standards, practices, and procedures, and coordinate their implementation; designs interfaces to bring various system’s together to work together as a whole; assess systems and components performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures; participate in system conceptual design activities and document design concepts; participate in hardware and software design reviews, ensuring requirements, specifications, and standards are met and traceable for verification and validation; apply/implement DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git and Artifactory; conduct security hardening, patching, and server certificate updates; and develop documentation for System Installation Plans and System Administration Guides.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CLEARANCE: TS/SCI w/CI Polygraph required for consideration
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 10 years of recent relevant experience consistent with the job description, including:
  • Senior-level experience in the following is required:
    • AWS Cloud, including: EC2s, S3, RDS, ElasticCache
    • Linux systems administration experience
    • Server certificates
    • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
    • Agile Scrum methodology
    • Administering and managing multiple environments, i.e., dev, test, production.
  • Nice to Have
    • Experience with:  OpenShift, Keycloak, PostgreSQL, Ansible, and/or Wildfly • Experience working with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Wildfly, Docker, Maven •
    • Experience implementing/applying: STIG hardening, CI/CD pipelines
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, Math)
OR
  • 14 years of total relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
CERTIFICATION:
  • Security+
    or other IAT II/III level certification
