Software Engineer - Java or Angular

The Software Engineer is actively involved throughout the project lifecycle, shall help bridge the gap between the front-end & back-end thereby ensuring the user's business rules & functionality requirements are visually met & the server side/back end properly supports & is properly supported.  May be required to create/conduct rapid and/or high-fidelity prototypes early in the design phase. Shall be relied upon to write clean, production-ready code for integration into/with the backend/APIs and server-side application logic, & support front-end developers/development of markup and styling. Shall interact with front-end clients & users to determine functionality needs.  May lead development teams, or support teams. Oversees and monitors performance across several disciplines.  Shall troubleshoot & resolve complex challenges & issues. Of note, the development environments include Java, Angular, Wildfly, Openshift, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Redmine, Artifactory, Postgres 11, some Cloud technologies (such as S3 and ElastiCache), Oracle, & Weblogic.

    • Minimum of 8-year's experience required with a bachelors degree.
    • Must be capable of exceptionally complex, inter-discipline based solutions.
    • Must have proficiency in most of the following:  Java, Angular, Wildfly, Openshift, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Redmine, Artifactory, Postgres 11, REST APIs, and Cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
    • Solid experience developing application codes and unit tests in AngularJS, Java Technologies, and Rest Web Services.
    • Experience with client-side architecture and design patterns.
    • Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations.
    • Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools.
  • EDUCATION:                           
    • Bachelors in a relevant technical field with 8 year's total relevant experience
    • OR
      • HS diploma with 12 year's total relevant experience, or
      • Associates degree with 10 year's total relevant experience, or
      • Masters degree in a relevant field with 6 year's total relevant experience, or
  • CERTIFICATION(s):                 
    • Security+ CE (preferred but not required)
    • DoD 8570 compliance (or similar information assurance certification)
