Audio-Video Engineer

As a member of an interdisciplinary, integrated-contractor team that supports ongoing mission operations, you will conduct:
  • Conduct metadata exploitation of file processing and distribution workflows.
  • Examine digitally stored audio, video & images media files.
  • Conduct robust examination and analysis of large volume of multimedia using state-of-the-industry(art) methodologies, tools, and tradecraft/techniques - includes using & applying  existing – or writing & applying new code and scripts (typically in Python and MATLAB).
  • Expose file processing and distribution workflows.
  • Identify any distinctive features and signatures associated with a source, emitter, or originator.
  • Authenticate and optimize/enhance audio, video & image media for analysis and exploitation.
  • Digitize analog media; Compress and convert audio, video, & image files.
  • Provide job-related and tradecraft-related information to seniors for inclusion in briefings,  presentations, and reports.
Must Have
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience  supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) or Law Enforcement providing Audio Visual exploitation and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in file specifications and formats for still image, video, and audio files; and file format conversion processes.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in multimedia production tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, AVID Media Composer, and Apple Final Cut Studio.
  • Foundational experience in and knowledge of Digital media forensic exploitation processes and forensic methodologies.
  • Foundational experience in and knowledge of all source analysis and report writing for the IC.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating to audiences of varying expertise, as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary team.
  • Active interest in continued professional development re: visual media technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ideal candidate will also have the following
  • Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (IFPC)
  • Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association (LEVA) certification.
  • Capable camera operator for video and/or still image creation.
  • Familiarity of IC reporting and databases.
  • Fluent in any foreign languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • Education Waiver:
    • Associate's degree + an additional three (3) years experience.
    • High School Diploma or GED + an additional five (5) years experience.
