Enterprise Vault Engineer (Systems Engineer Level 4)
Location: Reston, VA
Clearance: Applicants must be TS/SCI eligible and able to pass a CI Polygraph.
Key Role: We're looking for an experienced Exchange Administrator to manage availability of DIA's Veritas Enterprise Vault product. A wide range of support tasks are needed to support Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) and Intelligence Community requirements, including:
  • Routine operations and maintenance, such as OS patches and Enterprise Vault system and component upgrades
  • Research and recommend innovative system design to build effective and efficient processes that meet and grow with the mission, to include system architecture design and build
  • Monitor systems alerts/warnings and coordinate logistics, vendor support, and site support for corrective action and escalation
  • Prevent data loss or storage system outages during operation and maintenance activities
  • Perform timely configurations, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Document and process storage requests, migrations, decommission, and configuration change requests
  • Perform daily review and process of tickets related to supported system according to the established service level agreements
  • Provide initial response, Level 1 and Level 2 escalation for outages
  • Have a good understanding of scripting languages, such as PowerShell or VBS, to automate routine maintenance tasks
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED + 12 years of relevant experience
  • Associates Degree + 10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience
  • PhD+ 4 years of relevant experience  
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of System Engineer/Administrator experience, with two year of experience directly supporting Veritas Enterprise Vault
  • System administration knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, and 2016
  • Experience administrating and supporting Microsoft Windows server 2008/2012 in a large physical and virtual infrastructure
  • Full understanding of DNS, WINS, DHCP, and LDAP compliant directories
  • Experience with VMware virtualization administration and tools, and a firm understanding of virtualized infrastructure concepts
  • Disaster recovery and ancillary messaging components
Additional Qualifications: 8570 compliances (IAT II level or above), Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA, CISSP, CEH, etc.) prior to working on client site
